World of Warcraft is without a doubt the most popular Massively
Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game (MMORPG) ever, with millions
of subscribers to date. What makes the game so popular is that
really it has an appeal for just about every player out there.
If you like to fight solo, killing monsters, doing quests, etc.,
there is plenty of content available for you. What makes the
solo game great, is that you really can be self sufficient.
With the exception of some tough dungeons, for the most part,
everything can be done solo, and if you find yourself injured
after a battle, just bandage up or eat some food. Even the death
system is acceptable, if you die, you are teleported to a spirit
healer, from whom you can run back to your corpse to resurrect,
or who can resurrect you on the spot, but causing your equipment
to degrade in the process.
While the solo game in itself is great, you can also have a
blast playing with other players and your friends, especially
in dungeons. The dilemna with MMORPGs is that most players will
find that it can be difficult to keep up with friends and other
players, who are able to commit much more time to the game.
